Property Tax Term

Property taxes cover the period of Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 of the current year and are mailed in mid-May of each calendar year. Payments are due on June 30. Your entire tax bill can be paid at any time, but there is no discount for early payment. If you haven’t received your tax bill by the second full week of June, please contact us by phone at 780-967-5338 or email info@onoway.ca.

2024 Tax Appeal Information

Assessment Appeal deadline for 2024 is July 23, 2024. 

According to provincial legislation , complaints may be filed by the registered owner of the property or an agent acting on the owner’s behalf. A complaint filed by an agent must include a signed letter of authorization from the owner. Your complaint and the appropriate fees must be received by the Assessment Review Board Clerk within 60 days of the date your assessment was mailed to you. This deadline is set out in legislation and cannot be extended.

COMBINED ASSESSMENT AND TAX NOTICES

As per section 311 of the MGA, notice is hereby given that the combined assessment and tax notices for the Town of Onoway were mailed May 17, 2023

.
